A Dream on Wheels: A Journey Through Tension and Unity

Recently, I had a dream that wasn't a typical midnight reverie but rather an early morning adventure. In this dream, I found myself boarding an old-fashioned bus filled with people from various countries. There was a palpable mix of tension and excitement among the passengers, and as the bus journeyed, people began shedding their layers, possibly hinting at a north-to-south route.

As the bus approached a checkpoint, the atmosphere grew tense. The driver calmly instructed us to disembark for inspection.

At the checkpoint, an officer scrutinized my ID and questioned an extra digit it bore. This was baffling since it was the same Chinese ID card I'd always used.

Despite my attempts to explain, the officers dismissed my story. The other passengers tried to help, but nothing swayed the police. Feeling terrified and uncertain, I remembered my Chinese passport. However, the officer sternly rejected it, insisting on an ID.

A fellow traveler whispered that everyone's IDs were fake and suggested returning to the bus. Torn between explaining myself and joining the others, I ultimately decided to rush back onto the bus.

Together, we charged through the checkpoint, and that's when I awoke, feeling sweaty and nervous.

Reflecting on the dream, I realized it mirrored my inherent nature of standing with others. It was a vivid reminder of unity and the power of collective action.
