I once booked a flight to Turkey without realizing I needed a visa. It was probably my entitlement as an American citizen that led to this oversight. Fortunately, I managed to secure the visa just 24 hours before the trip, although it cost me $50.
Arriving in Istanbul was an adventure. I was charmed by the abundance of street cats and indulged in a lot of Turkish chai.
The experience was made even more memorable when I stumbled upon a sign featuring Karl Marx and Lenin on the street. Proudly, I took a picture with it, capturing a unique moment from my travels.
